David Robinson
I am the LEA Governor. I am a retired RAF Engineer Officer. I have lived in Alconbury since 1983 and have two adult children who attended the school in their primary years. In addition to my governor duties and other voluntary duties in the community, I sing with two local choirs and enjoy offshore sailing.

Candy Burrow
I am a Parent Governor. I work as a Business Manager for Xerox. My hobbies and interests are supporting my children's many and varied activities (swimming, riding, football, theatre school), reading and dinner parties with friends. I hope, one day, to have the time and funds to take up scuba diving again...

Martin Kettle
I am the Assistant Curate at the Parish Church in Alconbury (and the other 6 parishes in the group), and a foundation governor of the school. Penelope and I have five children, and I also have a day job as a prison governor. I enjoy almost everything except DIY.

Roger Read
As an LEA Governor in my 9th year I am very proud to be associated with our local primary school. I live in the village with my wife who works as a Teaching Assistant. Two of our children have benefited from attending the school. I studied electronic engineering, following a change in career I have worked for Reuters since 1992, initially in Global Accounts and for the last five years in Global Service Strategy. I help with a number of local voluntary organisations, enjoy real ale, wine, good food, photography and days out in the country with my wife and dog.

Duncan Nelson
I currently work in Year 3 and 4. I am the maths co-ordinator, chair of the school council and the teacher representative for the governors. I have taught at Alconbury since September 2004 and have enjoyed working with all staff members.

Julie Cook
I became a parent Govenor in March 2007. I have lived in the parish of Alconbury for five and a half years with my husband Giles and two daughters. I currently work part time managing the Before and After School Club in the village and also assess NVQ's in Playwork at Huntingdon Regional College. I enjoy helping out each week in reception class and in the summer at swimming lessons. I am also Chairperson of the PTA and Trustee of the Memorial Hall.

Malcolm Sharp
I am delighted to be a community governor for Alconbury School. Ann and I have lived in the village for nine years and I work in local government. I am involved with the local Methodist Church which is working closely with the Parish church in the community. I also have two grandchildren at the school.

Mrs Dove
I am proud to be the Headteacher of Alconbury CE Primary School. I have been Headteacher since 1996 and enjoy working with the whole school team to try and make every year even more successful than the last! I take a lot of satisfaction seeing our youngsters grow up and leave the school as confident, eager learners. I live in St. Ives with my husband and young child. As a family we love travelling and walking in the park!

Jacqui Fairbrass
I am a parent governor with one child at the school. After an 18 year career in the Army as an Education Officer working around the UK and overseas, I have now settled in Alconbury Weston and run my own education development consultancy business from home. My interests include keeping fit, hill walking, speaking Italian and growing my own vegetables. I am also actively involved with the village youth committee.

I am the Foundation Governor. I am currently a full time mum to two pre-school boys but was formerly a secondary Science teacher. I’m actively involved in the local Church helping to organise services for children and families. Interests – walking and wildlife.

Peter Oldfield
I am a Parent Governor, currently being Chairman of the Buildings and Health & Safety Committee, and Vice Chair for Finance. My interests include keeping fit, running, real ale, and family. My wife and I presently have 5 children at Alconbury C of E Primary School. I am a Chartered Management Accountant, and work in Strategic Operations for Rolls Royce plc.

Tim Meynell
I have been a Foundation governor for more than 20 years. I have had six children at the school, four of my own and two foster children. My special interests as a governor are in Finance and Music.

Michelle Chalker
I am a Parent Governor, with a daughter at Alconbury. I am also Secretary for the Parent-Teachers Association (known as F.A.C.E.S), involved in raising money to support activities in school. In addition I am a Parent helper for the first Alconbury Beaver Group, which my daughter attends. I work full-time in Research and Development for a multinational pharmaceutical company.
