Oak Class

Welcome to the 2nd half of Autumn 2009!

Oak class is taught by Mr Nelson and Mrs Hornby.  We have lots of exciting topics to cover this term and our main theme will be Science.

We have already explored some parts of the human body, light and sound and how to remain healthy.

This half term we are looking at properties of materials; solids liquids & gases and natural & manmade materials.

The children are becoming more aware of foreign langages.  We have started to learn instructions in French and the children hopefully will be able to state facts about themselves!

PE lessons have returned to indoor sessions on Thursdays and outdoor sessions on Fridays.

Christmas is fast approaching and the children will quickly become excited about our school production of 'Countdown to Christmas'.

Year 3 have the theme of festive decorations.

Children are reminded to bring a water bottle to school so they can have easy access to drinks.

It has been a lovely start to the school year and the children seem to have settled well.  I look forward to all children trying their best and building on their learning from Key Stage One.

Any additonal information can be found on our newsletter with the subjects and topics taught this term.
